Smart Hands / Onsite Technical Support

For the jobs that require someone physically in the room.

I provide onsite smart-hands support for remote engineering teams, MSPs, vendors, and businesses that need a technically capable person at the site—not just someone who can follow a script.

That can include equipment installation, cable tracing, console access, hardware replacement, circuit turn-up support, firewall swaps, troubleshooting, inventory work, photographs, labeling, and coordination with remote engineers.

If your senior engineer is three states away, I can be their hands, eyes, and ears on site.

Desktop & Small Business IT

Not every problem needs an architect.

Sometimes a workstation will not boot, a printer has gone feral, the Wi-Fi is unreliable, or a new employee simply needs a computer that works on Monday morning.

I provide practical desktop and small-business IT support where it makes sense, including workstation deployment, troubleshooting, network connectivity, software setup, migrations, and general technical cleanup.

I am comfortable working at both ends of the environment—from the firewall protecting the business to the PC sitting on the receptionist’s desk.

Point of Sale

When the point-of-sale system is down, business is down.

I can assist with PoS infrastructure, including network connectivity, firewall rules, VLANs, cabling, terminals, printers, peripheral devices, and coordination with the PoS vendor.

I do not pretend to be the vendor for every PoS platform. I do understand the network, systems, and infrastructure those platforms depend on—and I can usually determine very quickly which side of the fence the problem is on.

Telephone / Voice Systems

Voice systems still matter, especially in businesses where the telephone remains a primary way customers reach you.

I can assist with VoIP and traditional business telephone environments, including SIP connectivity, PBX systems, handsets, network design, QoS, firewall traversal, number portability coordination, and troubleshooting.

Whether the problem is the phone, the PBX, the provider, the firewall, or the network in between, I am comfortable following the call path until we find it.
